It's been a long road to the photographer I am today. There are a lot of things that have contributed to my understanding of photography over the years. I spent 6 years studying both fine art and photography in college. I spent longer then I care to admit in a retail camera store, selling people their dream cameras. I've combed through dozens and dozens of photography books. Without a doubt though, the most important moments that accelerated my career and passion were working shoulder to shoulder, camera in hand with fellow photographers second shooting. Learning advanced techiques, posing and perhaps most important, gaining the confidence to get the photo I wanted. No amount of books or classrooms can compare to speaking with someone with real world, day to day experience.
